Taoist Chinese Medicine

Practiced for over 1700 years, Fengyang traditional Chinese medicine was developed by Dong Feng (220-280 AD). As practitioners today, we follow the same high standards of holistic healing techniques focused on the patient.

Michelle Morisi

Michelle Morisi, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M., is a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, as well as a certified Fengyang qigong instructor. She received her master’s degree in acupuncture and certificate in Chinese herbal medicine from the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture in Gainesville, Florida. She is licensed through the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine and Rhode Island Department of Health, and she is certified through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She offers acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine at Wu Healing Center in Maynard, MA.

After years of tai chi and qigong practice, Michelle found a nearby qigong class when she moved back to New England from Florida. It was with the wonderful Wei Li, another certified Fengyang qigong instructor. She is also a tui na practitioner at Wu Healing Center, where she invited Michelle to visit. When Michelle first stepped into the center, it felt like coming home. To her, Dr. Wu and his center embody the true spirit of Chinese medicine. Michelle soon began working as a practitioner at Wu Healing Center. A year later, becoming a qigong instructor herself felt like a natural next step.

Michelle lives in East Providence, RI. She is happy to bring Fengyang qigong to her community.

Testimonial

“I was new to acupuncture, and on my first visit I was struck by the warm and comforting space Michelle immediately created during the intake interview. I had been struggling emotionally, and I felt comfortable opening up to her in an authentic way. At that time and every subsequent visit, she met me with warmth, compassion, empathy, and hope. Additionally, she was mindful and attentive about my comfort during each procedure, and she explained what I should expect. Her diagnosis was spot on for me, as I started experiencing profound improvement in my symptoms after several treatments. She is an excellent acupuncturist with a warm soul, and I highly recommend her to anyone new or experienced to receiving treatments.”
